Symposium im memory of Carsten Schmuck

Dear colleagues, dear friends,

the passing of Prof. Dr. Carsten Schmuck in August 2019 has left behind a huge gap at the University of Duisburg-Essen. We still miss Carsten every day.

In memory of Carsten we are currently planning a half day symposium, highlighting his work, his achievements and his impact on all of us.

This symposium was originally planned for 2021, but had to be postponed because of COVID. However, postponed is not forgotten, so we would like to invite you to Essen on July 8^th 2024 at 15:00 to join this memorial symposium.

The program will include a talk about Carsten´s research and a plenary talk by Prof. Peter Wich (former PhD of the Schmuck group).

After the symposium we would like to invite you to have dinner with us and to use this opportunity to remember Carsten and meet friends and colleagues in summer 2024 in Essen.
